Cuttack,19/01/2021 ( Odisha Samachar / Dipti Ranjan Kanungo)-Today i.e. on 19.1.2021, Sri Bharat Ghasi, Health Worker (Male), Community Health Centre (CHC), Rajpur, Dist. Jharsuguda has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Rourkela Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.1,500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred) from complainant Miss Sarojinee Kishan of village-Puruna, PS/Dist-Jharsuguda in order to process the death certificate in favour of late father of the complainant.
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 19.1.2021. Accused Sri Bharat Ghasi, Health Worker (Male) was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Rourkela Division inside the CHC, Rajpur while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.1,500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred) from complainant Miss Kishan. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Ghasi and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Ghasi gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Residential house of Sri Ghasi at village-Rajpur, Dist. Jharsuguda is being searched. Sri Bharat Ghasi, Health Worker (Male) has been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance P.S. case No.2 dt.18.1.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
