Subhadra Yojana 5th Instalment: Deputy CM Pravati Parida Reviews Preparations, Directs Completion of Field Enquiries by July 25

  • Fifth instalment to be disbursed on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima
  • District authorities directed to review progress on a daily basis
  • Over ₹20,648.63 crore transferred to more than one crore women through four instalments

Bhubaneswar,10/07/2026 ( Odisha Samachar )-: Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida on Friday chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to assess preparations for the smooth disbursement of the fifth instalment of the Subhadra Yojana on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima.

 During the meeting, hon’ble Minister directed all district authorities to complete the verification and disposal of all applications referred for field enquiry by July 25 l 2026. She also directed that the progress of these cases be reviewed on a daily basis to ensure timely completion of the process ahead of the fifth instalment.

 According to official data reviewed during the meeting, a total of 1,15,75,633 applications have been registered underl the Subhadra Yojana so far. Of these, 3,17,966 new applications have been received during the 2026-27 financial year. Following scrutiny and eligibility assessment, 1,02,04,396 women were initially identified as potential beneficiaries for the fifth instalment. After verification by district administrations confirmed the deaths of 5,277 beneficiaries, the final list of 1,01,99,119 eligible beneficiaries has been prepared for the upcoming instalment.

The meeting reviewed the progress of key preparatory activities, including Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) activation, biometric e-KYC, field enquiries, NPCI mapping, payment file preparation and coordination with banks. The Minister emphasised the need for expeditious disposal of pending cases and called for close coordination among all stakeholders to complete the necessary processes within the stipulated timeline.

 The overall progress of the Subhadra Yojana was also reviewed during the meeting. So far, ₹20,648.63 crore has been transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of more than one crore women beneficiaries across four instalments.  In addition, 2,68,396 grievances registered under the scheme have been successfully resolved till date.

Emphasising timely, transparent and error-free implementation of the scheme, hon’ble Minister Smt. Parida directed officials to ensure complete preparedness at all levels for seamless disbursement of the fifth instalment to every eligible beneficiary. She stressed close coordination among field-level functionaries, the departments concerned, technical agencies and banking institutions to complete all necessary processes within the stipulated timeline.

The meeting also held detailed discussions on the future course of action under the Subhadra Yojana and the current status of applications. Director, Women and Child Development Department, Mrs. Monisha Banerjee, along with senior officials of the Mission Shakti Department, Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) and other concerned officials, attended the meeting.
