Bhubaneswar, 9/1/2026 ( Odisha Samachar/ Rajat Mohapatra )-Smt. Shubha Sarma, Principal Secretary, Water Resources, reviewed different activities of the Department of Water Resources in the senior officers’ meeting yesterday.

During the review it was decided to focus on ensuring utilization of funds to enhance the irrigation in the state. It was also decided to pursue faster clearances for pending approvals, expediting tender processes, and accelerating the execution of ongoing projects.

All officials participated in the discussions and it was decided to work towards Data acquisition, online data monitoring systems, independent impact assessment of different ongoing schemes, and implication of SCADA technology.
