Cuttack, 23/9/2025 ( Odisha Samachar ) – On the allegation of misappropriation of Govt. money of Bamanbindha Service Co-operative Society under BBCC Bank Ltd., Tihidi, Dist-Bhadrakto the tune of Rs.13 lakhs by Sri SudarsanKhatua, Ex-Secretary of the said Society, an enquiry was taken up by Odisha Vigilance. Thorough verification revealed that accused Sri SudarsanKhatua, Ex-Secretary of Bamanbindha Service Co-operative Society under BBCC Bank Ltd., Tihidi, Dist-Bhadrak, misappropriated Govt. money to the tune of Rs.13,32,260/- during financial year 2020-21 & 2021-22 by manipulating official records under different heads, i.e. withdrawal of savings bank deposits of members of the Society, misappropriation of Society fund by showing less balance in the Day Book, and by making excess MandiLabour charges then the prescribed price fixed by the Govt.
Hence, accused Sri SudarsanKhatua, Ex-Secretary of Bamanbindha Service Co-operative Society under BBCC Bank Ltd., Tihidi, Dist-Bhadrak was arrested and forwarded today to the Court of Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance PS Case No.13 dated 22.09.2025 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(a) of PC (Amendment) Act, 2018/409/468/471/477-A IPC has been registered against Sri SudarsanKhatua, Ex-Secretary of Bamanbindha Service Co-operative Society under BBCC Bank Ltd., Tihidi, Dist-Bhadrak.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
