Bhubaneswar 25/06/2024 (Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra )- Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister SmtPravati Parida initiated the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” by planting a sapling in Paryatan Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. With the planting of a ‘Baula’ sapling, this initiative underscores the importance of nurturing and respecting nature just as one respects one’s mother.
During the plantation drive, Hon’ble Minister emphasized the importance of honouring mothers and fostering a greener Odisha by encouraging every citizen to plant a tree in the name of their mother. She highlighted the need for State’s commitment to integrating green practices into its developmental strategies and urged Tourism officials to take up this campaign across Odisha and contribute to this noble cause.
Hon’ble DY CM also visited Panthanivas, Bhubaneswar and planted a sapling under the initiative. She also held discussions with officers regarding various arrangements in the premises of Panthanivas unit located in Bhubaneswar today.In this discussion, a new benchmark has been set to ensure better service and facilities to tourists, which will make the experience of tourists sweeter and more beautiful in the coming days. Director Tourism Shri Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, IAS, General Manager OTDC Dr. Latatendu Sahoo, OAS(S) and other senior government officials and other staff of the department were present during this meeting.
