Bhubaneswar ,31/05/2023( Odisha Samachar ) : In remembrance of Guru DebaprasadTridhara a pioneer organization which upholds the unique style of Guru Debaprasad Das organizedDebasmruti Festival 2023(an evening of Odissi Dance) at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar. The objective of organizing this festival is to showcase and promote of unique style (Gharana) of Late Guru Debaprasad Dasin form of Odissi dance and also amalgamated a variety of tribal and folk dance elements with the traditional Odissi.
The festival was started with lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests Ananta Narayan Jena, Hon’ble MLA, Bhubaneswar Central; PrafullaSamal, Hon’ble MLA, Bhandaripokhari; LaxminarayanAgarwal, Producer, Hemraj Films; Simanchala Panda, Working President, Tridhara and Guru Gajendra Panda, Director, Tridhara.
The first Odissipresentation in the evening wasMangalacharan – LaxmiNrusinghaDhyana presented by G. Nageswari, Prabhutosh, Dipika, Rithika, Vidhi, Mokshada, Rutuja and Anwesha followed by OdiaAbhinaya – Manaudharana presented by Monalisha, Sushree, Muskaan and Priyadarshini. Next item was KedeChandajane lo sahi presented by SaiDurga, Dibyashree, Saloni, Laxmipriya and Shivani followed by Dasavatar presented by Tanisha, SubhashreePradhan, Disha, SubhashreePaikaray, Pratigyan, Sonakshi,Simran, Ankita andPriyanshi. Next was Uthilu Ede Begi presented by AradhyaPati, Siddiksha, AradhyaPriyadarsini, Sreejita and AradhyaLal followed by Duet Odissi dance Ardhanariswar presented by Sanghamitra and Vidhi. Next item was Ram Bhajan presented by PadminiLal, Rithika, Mokshada, Sonakshi, Sushree and Muskaan. The last item of the evening was Mokshyampresented by Prabhutosh, Rithika, Mokshada and Vidhi. The danceswere choreographed by Guru Gajendra Kumar Panda. The dancers of Tridharawas marked by fluid grace, immaculate body movements with amazing precision and charming gestures and postures during the dance which was mesmerized the audience till the end.
The festival was supported by Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, Government of Odisha. The programme was anchored by Dr. MrutunjayaRath.
