    Cuttack,25/3/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-  On receipt of reliable information regarding collection of huge cash by Sri Ashish Kumar Dash, Superintending Engineer, Rural Works Division, No-I, Malkangiri as illegal gratification from different sources, a team of Odisha Vigilance kept a close watch over the movement and activities of Sri Dash.

 Accordingly, today i.e. on 25.03.2022 at about 2.15 PM, the team of Odisha Vigilance intercepted him while he was removing cash from his 2 numbers of carry bags in the manager’s room of DCB Bank, Malkangiri. During interception, suspected ill-gotten cash of Rs.10,23,970/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs Twenty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy) was found from the possession of Sri Ashish Kumar Dash, Superintending Engineer, which he could not account for satisfactorily. The cash has been seized.

Following interception, Govt. residential quarter of Sri Ashish Kumar Dash, Superintending Engineer at Malkangiri and his house at native village Jemadeipur, PS-Sukinda, Dist-Jajpur are being searched.

The investigation of the case is in progress.
