Cuttack,9/11/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- In another Vigilance Operation today, i.e. on 9.11.2021, Sri Hrudananda Sahu, Revenue Supervisor, office of Tahasildar, Sadar, Dist-Keonjhar has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) from a complainant for conducting demarcation of his land and submission of report to the Tahasildar.
Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 9.11.2021 wherein the accused Sri Hrudananda Sahu, Revenue Supervisor was caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance in his office room while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) from the complainant. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Sahu and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash of Sri Sahu gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the rented residential house and office room of Sri Sahu at Keonjhar. He has been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance P.S. Case No.22 dated 8.11.2021 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
