&TV artists share learnings of 2020 as they welcome 2021 with a bang!

As new year celebrations begin, &TV artists Rajesh (Kamna Pathak) of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, Manmohan Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, Swati (Tanvi Dogra) of Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein, Gudiya (Sarika Bahroliya) of Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari and Joseph (Aarya Dharmchand Kumar) of Yeshu share how they plan to spend their new year and imply the learnings of 2020 in 2021. Kamna Pathak shares, “2020 has been a watershed year for all of us. While I missed spending festivals with friends going out for darshans during Ganesh Chaturthi, pandal hopping during Navratri, and gorging on sweets during Eid and Holi, I got a chance to reunite with my family after nearly 10 years. A key takeaway from the year was to focus on one’s health and well-being and to be more compassionate towards our family and friends. We have a small celebration at home in the company of good food and music to bid farewell to 2020 and enter the new year.Rohitashv Gour added, “As an artist, we work for long periods during the day, which makes it impossible for us to stay connected with our fans and followers. However, the three-month break gave me a chance to interact with some of them through live chats. Through our charity trust, we organized multiple competitions for young artists, and it was quite an enriching experience. As we enter the new year, I want everyone to stay positive, avoid crowded places and celebrate the new year abiding by the curfew rules.”Tanvi Dogra shares, “The year 2020 opened with a bang as we launched our show Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein in January and I am glad to have received an opportunity to work alongside the very talented Gracy ma’am. The pandemic situation has taught all of us to be more sensitive and compassionate towards others and I believe that every dark cloud has a silver lining. I am eagerly waiting for 2021 as I hope it will be the year when things go back to normalcy. Wishing everyone a happy new year!”Sarika Bahroliya shares, “One thing I have learnt from 2020 is to be patient and have a more positive approach towards life. Few essentials such as sanitizers and masks have become a part of our day-to-day life along with maintaining highest level of hygiene and, this is in fact is a good practice which I intend to follow throughout my life. Since I prefer intimate celebrations as opposed to lavish parties and to maintain safety measures, I will be having a small celebration at home with my favourite food and music and connect with my near and dear ones virtually.”Aarya DharmchandKumar shares, “New Year to me would mean carrying forward the safety habits that were introduced at the beginning of the pandemic such as washing hands periodically, wearing masks while travelling, carrying a small bottle of sanitizer, and I would encourage my family in following it too. Also, me and my family comprising of my wife and 6-year-old son would have a small new year celebration at home starting with a small puja and feasting on the prasad comprising of halwa, kheer, jeera aalu and puris. I am planning to be the chef for the evening while the menu is yet under discussion and my wife will decorate the house with lights and diyas.”
