Bhubaneswar, 14/12/2020 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhishek Mohanty )-  Odisha Cabinet on Monday approved the Lingaraj Temple Ordinance in line with Jagannath Temple Act.

The 11^th century shrine is presently governed by Odisha Hindu Religious Endowment Act & Lingaraj Temple Act will help in better execution of rituals and management.

Affairs of Lingaraj Temple will now be governed by Lingaraj Temple Ordinance, 2020.

The Temple Trust was not able to properly execute such rituals due to limited power conferred under the existing law.
