Online Academic Support Programme Inaugurated 

Bhubaneswar, 12/09/2024   (Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra )-Shri Nityananda Gond, Minister,S&ME has inaugurated the free Online Academic Support Programme. The programme was launched virtually in the presence of Shri Raghuram R. Iyer, Director, Higher Secondary Education. Addressing the students studying in all the government and government-aided private higher secondary schools of Odisha who joined the program through virtual, Minister Shri Gond said, the program will be of great help to all students, especially those studying in remote areas, to succeed in competitive examinations, entrance examinations for Higher Studies. Students can avail it free of charge. Through this program, confidence can be created that a greater number of questions can be answered in a short period of time, Minister Shri Gond has informed.

A total of 82,700 willing students who have newly enrolled in the academic year 2024-25 have joined this programme online. After passing 12th standard, students prepare for various competitive exams and entrance exams for professional higher education studies like IPMAT/JIPMAT, CUET, CLAT, NDA, NIFT etc. For this there is a need to know about English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude. Keeping this in mind, provision has been made for teaching by experienced teachers through the programme. This online class will run from Monday to Thursday from 2 pm to 3.30 pm. The examination will be conducted on Fridays at an interval of 15 days along with teaching. This test will be done through OMR sheet or computer. The marks of this exam will be uploaded on the SAMS portal.

the principals will update the attendance of the students and contact information of all students joining this class directly on the SAMS portal. The principals will give the names and numbers of the nodal officers and mentor teachers for this program. This initiative will help the students for future job placement and higher education. This will enable a greater number of students to pursue various vocational education and employment. Students from rural and tribal areas can especially benefit. Today’s program was attended by officials of School and Mass Education and Directorate of Higher Secondary Education and teachers.
