Sambalpur,1/2/2026 ( Odisha Samachar )- Loka Seba Sambalpur, a social service organization, successfully organised a Plastic-Free Picnic and Awareness Programme on Sunday, 1st February 2026, at Zero Point, Sambalpur, on the occasion of its annual get-together.
The main objective of the programme was to promote environmental protection, discourage the use of plastic, and spread awareness about maintaining cleanliness and a sustainable lifestyle. Members of Loka Seba Sambalpur actively participated in the awareness drive and appealed to the public to adopt plastic-free practices in daily life.
During the programme, Loka Seba members Dr. Biswa Mohana Jena, Bhanu Pratap Dash, Dr. Sidhanta Mohanty, Tapas Kumar Patel, Farhan Hyder, Pritam Mahapatra, Harman Singh, and Rajendra Satnami were present and contributed to the successful organisation of the event.
Sambalpur active members Masud Alam, S. K. Faizan, Biswajit Mohanty, Goparanjan Kumbhar, Bikash Rana, Sahil Das, Noorani Gulzar, Aprajita Banchhor, and Sonu Singh, along with other members, took part in the plastic-free picnic and collectively pledged to protect the environment and reduce plastic usage.
The programme highlighted the importance of unity, social responsibility, and environmental awareness. The initiative received wide appreciation from local residents for spreading a strong message of environmental conservation through collective action.
