The outcomes of the Odisha Vikash Conclave (OVC) 2025, titled “Pathways to Climate-Resilient and People-Centric Development,” were shared with the Government of Odisha.

Emphasis was laid during a meeting with DC-cum ACS Ms Garg  on multi-stakeholder collaboration to advance sustainable and inclusive development.”

Bhubaneswar ,15/12/2025( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra )-The outcomes of the Odisha Vikash Conclave (OVC) 2025, titled “Pathways to Climate-Resilient and People-Centric Development,” were shared with the Government of Odisha in the presence of Smt. Anu Garg, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. Smt. Chithra Arumugam, Principal Secretary, Labour & ESI, along with senior officials from the Planning & Convergence Department.

The conclave held on 26-27 November,2025 which brought together over 700 diverse stakeholders including civil society, government officials, academia, corporate sector, PRIs, community leaders, and the solution providers – focused on deliberations on various thematic areas such as: Ecosystem Governance & Climate Adaptation; Just Transition, Green Livelihoods & Urban Livability; Data Decentralization for Active Citizenship; Gender, Climate & Development Nexus; Climate-Responsive Human Mobility & Migration; Disaster Preparedness for Changing Climate; Impact of climate change on human health; Demographic transition and the Associated Issues; and Climate Smart Panchayat.

 A delegation from the Odisha Development Initiative (ODI), presented the key outcomes that highlighted sector-specific priorities, institutional roles, and actionable pathways aligned with Odisha Vision 2036 and Viksit Bharat @2047. Emphasis was placed on the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration to achieve sustainable, inclusive development.

The interaction reaffirmed the Odisha Vikash Conclave’s position as a credible, collaborative platform that effectively bridges policy and practice, driving Odisha’s development agenda beyond 2036. The government officials valued the depth of the deliberations and the recommendations shared. They also emphasized the importance of implementing structured actions, ground-level models, and community-centric approaches to operationalize the outcomes effectively. Additionally, they assured consideration of the recommendations for future actions.
