Children painted in colour their dream of a developed Odisha
Bhubaneswar 16/11/2025 ( Odisha Samachar/ Rajat Mohapatra) : The third day of the 36th PECUC Sisumela opened with a vibrant Fine Art Competition in the morning, where the young artists painted their dream of developed Odisha with colour and creativity. 
In the evening,Ekamra Haat Amphitheatrelit up with the adorable“Baby of the Year” and livelyRhymes Competition, as tiny tots charmed the audience with their expressions and thoughtful messages on social and environmental issues. The event was judged by an esteemed panel including renowned artist Banchhanidhi Pattnaik,Sarojini Mohanty& Debarchana Dwibedi andDr. Puranima Pradhan, Dr. Mitali Mohanty, Sumitra Tripathy, Madhumita Das, Usharani Behera, and Kamal Prasad Pati.
The guests of the evening wereManasmita Khuntia, Member, OSCPCR, Sayanshi Behera, OAS, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disability, Dilip Kumar Hial, DSSO, Khordha, Ghasiram Panda, Consultant-Child Protection, UNICEF. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation for PECUC’s invaluable initiative & dedication for providing a nurturing environment free from anxiety and discrimination to children.
A special programme titled “Sikhiba, Bhabiba, Kahiba – Paribarttanara Adhāra: Pilāmānan̄kara Swara” was organized on this occasion. Sraban Kumar Samal, Jeshika Nayak, Sanskruti Mahanty Mahapatra, Tapas Kumar Sarangi, Evanshi Mishra, Subham Nayak, Priyanshi Sahu actively participated in the discussion on the theme “Surakhita Shishu, Anandamaya Shaishab”, sharing their thoughts, concerns, and ideas for ensuring a safe and joyful childhood.
The winner of the OdishiCompetitionreceived their prizes. Mr. Ranjan Kumar Mohanty, Secretary PECUC, Mrs. Anuradha Mohanty, Executive Director, PECUC were present on this occasion. Mrs. Ratna Dash, Mr. Jyotishankar Mohanty,Upama Mohanty, Santilata Sahooetc.of PECUC facilitated the programme. The programme was anchored by child anchorArushi Adwika and Harshali Dora.
