HE IS ALLEGED TO HAVE MISAPPROPRIATED GOVT FUNDS OVER RS.1.24 CRORE.
Cuttack, 22/8/2025 ( Odisha Samachar )- In ongoing searches at 5 locations of Sri Kishore Kumar Sahani, Senior Assistant, City Hospital, office of CDMO, Cuttack, the following movable and immovable assets worth Crores have been unearthed so far, in the name of Sri Sahani and his family members;
1) One Triple storeyed building measuring an area of 2500 Sq. ft. located at JobraNuasahi, Cuttack(picture given ).
2) One building and poultry farm spanning approx 2.5 acres located at Palasia/Padhania, Choudwar, Cuttack.
3) 19 high value plots including 18 plots in and around Cuttack town and 1 in Jatni, Khordha.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/ poultry farm/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
4) Cash of Rs.3,30,800/- (picture given ).
5) Gold ornaments weighing 135 gms(picture given )
6) Bank & Postal deposits worth Rs.55,48,406/-
7) 1 four wheeler (Hyundai Santro) & 3 two wheelers.
8) Household articles worth around Rs.10.57 Lakhs.
Sri Kishore Kumar Sahani, Senior Assistant, City Hospital, office of CDMO, Cuttack is being examined to ascertain the source of the assets. Further searches are continuing. Unearthing of more assets is likely and overall valuation is likely to increase.
On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, simultaneous house searches were conducted on the properties of Sri Kishore Kumar Sahani, Senior Assistant, City Hospital, office of CDMO, Cuttack today i.e. 22.08.2025 at following 5 places in Cuttack district;
- Residential triple storeyed building of Sri Sahani located at JobraNuasahi, Cuttack.
- Another building and poultry farm located at Palasia, Choudwar, Cuttack.
- House of his in-law located at Deulasahi, Tulsipur, Cuttack.
- Paternal house of Sri Sahani located at Uttarakula, PS-Kishorenagar, Cuttack.
- His office room located at office of CDMO, Cuttack.
5 teams of Odisha Vigilance comprising 9 DSPs,10 Inspectors, 7 ASIs, and other supporting staff conducted the search on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.
Sri Sahani entered into Govt. service as Jr. Assistant on 07.01.1997 under rehabilitation scheme and posted at UGPHC, Mahanga under Family Welfare department and worked there till 24.07.2000 and transferred to MO, LEU, Banki and joined there 02.08.2000. On 16.04.2001, he was transferred to the City Hospital, Cuttack and worked there till 18.04.2016. On 01.12.2016, he was promoted to the rank Sr. Assistant and joined at office of CDM & PHO, Cuttack. He has served more than 2 decades in City Hospital, Cuttack.
He is alleged to have misappropriated Govt. funds to the tune of Rs.1,24,15,854/- during his tenure at City Hospital, Cuttack, by non-deposit of Govt. money, fraudulent withdrawl of money from Govt. account, transfer of funds from Govt. Account to personal accounts of himself and family members, and such other means. The above misappropriated amount is under verification. Enquiry is in progress.
