Bhubaneswar,23/07/2025(Odisha Samachar /Rajat Mohapatra)-Today, Smt. AnuGarg, IAS, Development Commissioner cum ACS, and Chairperson OLIC, chaired the 209thBoard of Directors meeting of Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation Ltd. held at LoksevaBhawan.
Presented was made by OLIC on its 5-year master plan for creation of new irrigation potential of 9lakh hectares with focus on Blocks with less than 35% existing irrigation potential.
Detailed plan of installation of 10,380 CLIPs and 150,500 deep borewells with focus on solar energization for sustainability, from the year 2025-26 to 2029-30, was discussed.
The Board acknowledged the increased scale of operation of OLIC and DC advised them to focus on synergy with other departments, sustainability & energy efficiency, crop diversification, empowerment of women farmers and IT initiatives.
