It is my privilege to address you all at this 5th Convocation Ceremony of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. On behalf of the Government and people of Odisha, I congratulate all graduates, their families, and the AIIMS community.
I express my deepest gratitude to the Hon’ble President of India for gracing this occasion. Madam President, your presence inspires all of us and elevates this convocation’s significance.
As we know, under the visionary and dynamic leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has grown manifold. He has emphasised on digital transformation and modernization of healthcare services. 
Initiatives such as launching of e-payment facilities at AIIMS Bhubaneswar align with Modi Ji’s vision for a Digital India, making healthcare more accessible and efficient for the public.
Modi Ji has also prioritized the eradication of diseases like Sickle Cell Anaemia, with AIIMS Bhubaneswar being recognized as a Centre of Excellence for its role in this mission.
He has also promoted medical education in local languages, aiming to make medical knowledge more accessible and inclusive for students across India.
Our Government has implemented Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in convergence with Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana which provides comprehensive, cashless and portable health coverage system.
This scheme covers more than 3.52 Crore population of the state, with special provision for women and senior citizens.
As we know, AIIMS Bhubaneswar stands as a symbol of excellence in Medical Education, Research, and Healthcare in the country. In a short span of time, it has become one of the nation’s leading medical institutions for which I would like to thank its faculty and students for their vision, dedication, and commitment.
Dear Graduates, you are the pride of Odisha and India. As you step into your professional lives, remember that the “world needs your knowledge, compassion and integrity more than ever”.
The challenges in healthcare such as emerging diseases, public health crises, and the need for equitable care for one and all, require skilled and empathetic professionals like you.
I would like to urge all of you that, remember, you carry not just academic knowledge, but the hopes and well-being of millions. Your expertise will save lives, your research will advance medicine, and your compassion will heal hearts. The responsibility is great, but so is your opportunity to make a difference.
I am to say that, our Government remains committed to supporting institutions like AIIMS Bhubaneswar, strengthening healthcare infrastructure, promoting research, and ensuring quality medical services reach every corner of our state.
Looking ahead, we envision Odisha as a hub of medical excellence and innovation, with AIIMS Bhubaneswar playing a pivotal role.
On this auspicious occasion, I would like to thank the faculty and staff of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar for nurturing the next generation of healthcare leaders, and the families for their invaluable support.
Once again, I would like to congratulate all the Graduates and wish AIIMS Bhubaneswar continued success in its noble mission. May your journey be fulfilling and your contributions to society profound.
