Sameer Mohanty Appointed as Chief Advisor of Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha

Bhubaneswar- 06/07/2025( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra)- Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangh President Rev Takahiro Okonogi on Saturday nominated Sri Sameer Mohanty, Chairman  Olympics Association of Odisha  as the Chief Advisor of Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha ,  Sri Hari Pattnayak as vice-president, Rev Liu Kuo yung as general secretary, Rev Toshaiaki Tanaka as Assistant secretary and Rabi Moharana as development coordinator for effective operation of the Buddha Sangha.

Earlier, lawyer Ramakrushna Rath was inducted as the legal advisor and the committee was amended in the executive body meeting held yesterday in the Monestry meeting hall of Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha.

Notably, the Sangh in association with the Japan Buddha Sangh had built the Peace Pagoda at Dhauligiri in the Seventies to commemorate the message of peace which emanated from the aftermath of the famous Kalinga war.

The Sangh has been promoting teachings of Goutam Buddha to establish peace and nonviolence across the world.
