Specialist Doctors from SCB to Fly to Nabarangpur to Provide Super Specialty Healthcare
Bhubaneswar- 06/07/2025( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra)-Mukhya Mantri Bayu Swasthya Seva will conduct a camp in Nabrangpur district from tomorrow i.e from Monday, 7th July 2025.
The initiative will supplement facilities available in the district headquarters hospitals and provide high quality tertiary care by mobilising the experts from the existing Medical Colleges.
The Mukhya Mantri Bayu Swasthya Seva is scheduled to start from 7 July 2025 in the district of Nabarangpur after a gap of more than one and a half years.
Subsequently, districts like Nuapada, and Malkangiri will be taken up in a phased manner.
The camp will be conducted for four days starting from 7.7.2025 to 10.7.2025.
Nearly 938 patients from the entire district have been screened by the district health team who will be further examined by the experts.
On the first day (7.7.2025) of the camp five senior residents in different Superspecialty will go and will do the preparatory work for the different surgeries and also conduct difficult investigatory procedures like Echo-cardiograph, Upper GI endoscopy etc. They are Dr. Biswajit Sahoo SR Urology SCB, Dr. Sumeet Kumar Sahu SR Cardiology SCB, Dr. Lipika Panigrahi SR Nephrology SCB, Dr. Rashmi Ranjan Patra SR Gastroenterology SCB, and Dr. Rakesh Kumar Mohanty SR Neurology SCB.
On the 2nd day i.e. 8.7.2025 six experts will move and will conduct different surgeries, consultation in super-specialties, and prescribe appropriate medicines which will be supplied free of cost.
These doctors are Dr. Sabyasachi Panda Associate Prof Urology SCB, Dr. Jasobanta Behera Cardiology SCB, Dr. Aruna Acharya Associate Prof Nephrology SCB, Dr. Samir Kumar Hota Asst Professor Gastroenterology SCB, Dr. Nihar Ranjan Biswal Asst Prof Neurology SCB, and Dr. Debarchana Jena Asst Prof Endocrinology SCB.
All the logistics like conveyance, accommodation, food, camp site arrangement, tent, water, tea and snacks have been arranged by the district administration.
This initiative will make modern medical science reach the unreached with an aim to make super specialised health care like in Urology, Nephrology, Laparoscopic surgeries, consultation in Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and difficult investigations like echocardiograph, endoscopy available for all.
