Bhubaneswar,4/3/2024 ( Odisha Samachar)-  Today i.e. on 04.03.2024, Sri SadanandaSahu, Settlement Amin, AgalpurTahasil, Dist-Bolangir has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.5,000/-(Rupees Five Thousand) from a complainant for processing and issuance of RoR (Land Patta) in his favour in a mutation case registered by complainant in last year.

Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 04.03.2024, wherein the accused Sri SadanandaSahu, Settlement Amin was caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance inside the Record room of AgalpurTahasilfor demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) ofRs.5,000/-(Rupees Five Thousand)from the complainant.The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Sahu and seized in presence of witnesses. Right hand washof Sri Sahugave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the parental house of Sri Sahuat village Keshapalla, PS-Narla, Dist-Kalahandiand his office room.Accused Sri SadanandaSahu, Settlement Aminhas been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court.

In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No.05 dated 03.03.2024 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
