Bhubaneswar, 29/8/2023 ( Odisha Samachar )- : Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said Jio Platforms is keen to play a leading role in the Indian AI model by bringing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to everyone and everywhere and bring the benefits of this new technology to Indian citizens. On the sidelines of the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries, he announced AI’s ambitious plans and said that AI is the most interesting direction for Jio’s growth.
Mukesh announced Jio’s commitment to build 2,000 MW of AI-ready computing capacity in both cloud and edge locations, embracing sustainable practices and a greener future. He said that the global AI revolution is giving a new shape to the world and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) will soon revolutionize the industry , economy and daily life and change its definition. To remain globally competitive, India must harness AI for innovation , growth and national prosperity.
Mukesh Ambani said, “Jio promised to provide broadband connectivity to everyone and everywhere seven years ago and we have delivered it.” Today, Jio is committed to bringing AI to everyone, everywhere. “We will provide that,” he said.
Reliance Industries is leveraging its talented workforce and capabilities to drive global AI innovation , particularly in the area of generative AI. In the coming days, Jio Platforms wants to be at the forefront of developing India-specific AI models and AI solutions for all sectors , thereby bringing the benefits of AI to Indian citizens , businesses and governments. ” India has that breadth , data and talent,” said Mukesh.
India needs a digital infrastructure to handle the massive computing demands of AI. As this field expands, we are committed to creating 2,000 MW of AI-ready computing capacity in both cloud and edge locations. “In the next five years, we plan to use most of our energy in connectivity , digital services and energy that will be environmentally sustainable and affordable,” said Mukesh.
