EX-FEE SUPERVISOR, BERHAMPUR MUNICIPALITY, DIST-GANJAM CONVICTED IN DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS (DA) CASE.

                 Cuttack,18/10/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 18.10.2022, Sri Kumuda Chandra Pradhan, Ex-Fee Supervisor (Retired), Berhampur Municipality, Dist-Ganjam who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Berhampur Vigilance PS Case No.19 of 1996 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for possession of disproportionate assets to his known sources of income, was convicted by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a further period of 1 month for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Pradhan following his conviction.

                   Sri Purna Chandra Mishra, Ex-Inspector, Vigilance Berhampur Division had investigated the case and Sri Surendra Panda, Spl. PP, Vigilance Court, Berhampur conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution.
