Cuttack, 22/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Excise sleuths here have seized silver bricks and ornaments weighing more than 1 quintal from a car near Tangi Tollgate.

Besides, Rs 14 lakh cash was also seized from the vehicle’s secret chamber.

Suspecting ganja challan , an excise department team intercepted an SUV bearing registration number of West Bengal. Following the search, the officials recovered silver bricks and ornaments. The vehicle was en route to Kharagpur from Aska.

A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation into the incident is underway, added sources. Driver and helper of the vehicle has been detained by the Excise department.
