Cuttack,6/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 06.09.2022, Sri Manoj Kumar Beura, Ex-Junior Engineer (JE), Nandapur Block, Dist-Koraput, A/p-JE, Dasmantpur Block, Dist-Koraput and Sri Dusmanta Kumar Nayak, Ex-In-charge Junior Engineer(Retired), Nandapur Block who were charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Koraput Vigilance P.S. Case No.46 dtd.13.10.2009 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988/409/420/477-A/120-B IPC for misappropriation of Govt. money in connection with cement drain work & improvement of village road under SGRY (Sampoorna Grameen Rojgar Yojana)  were convicted by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years on each count and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each on each count for the offence U/s 13 (2) r/w 13(1)(c)/7 of PC Amendment Act, 1988/420 IPC, and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months for each default. The substantive sentences are to run concurrently.

Sri Sisir Kumar Bhoi, Ex-DSP, Vigilance Koraput Division had investigated the case.
