Cuttack,26/8/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 26.08.2022, Sri Sanjay Samal, In-charge Head Master, Kumjharia SC & ST Development High School, Dist-Sundargarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.12,000/- (Rupees Twelve Thousand) from a complainant (poor parent) for issue of Original Board Certificate, Mark Sheet and School Leaving Certificate etc. in favour of his daughters who had passed out recently.
Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 26.08.2022, wherein the accused Sri Sanjay Samal, In-charge Head Master was caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance inside school premises while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.12,000/- (Rupees Twelve Thousand) from the complainant. The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Samal and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Samal gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the Govt. quarter of Sri Samal inside school premises of SC & ST Development High School, Dist-Sundargarh and his office chamber. Accused Sri Sanjay Samal, In-charge Head Master has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance P.S. Case No.19 dated 25.08.2022 U/s 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
