Bhubaneswar, 03/08/2022 (Odisha samachar)- 2 senior IAS Arvind Padhi and S Ashwathi of Odisha cadre in the central deputation have returned to Odisha. IAS Usha Padhi will return to Odisha next week. As these three senior IASs are returning and some IASs are now going on central deputation, it has been reported that there may be a major reshuffle at the IAS level in the second week of August. According to the information received from the state public administration department, 1996 batch IAS Arvind Padhi joined the Odisha government yesterday after completing his central deputation. Similarly, 2003 batch IAS S Ashwathy has also returned to Odisha after completing the period of central deputation. These two officers went on central deputation in June 2015 and they have returned to Odisha after completing the deputation period of 7 years. It has been informed that 1996 batch IAS Usha Padhi, who went with these 2 officers, will return to Odisha next week. On the other hand, Fisheries and Livestock Secretary 1997 batch IFS R Raghuprasad will leave Odisha next week as he has been appointed in the central government. State Home Department Additional Chief Secretary Sanjib Chopra and his wife IAS Ranjana Chopra, Panchayatiraj Secretary Ashok Kumar Meena, Finance Secretary Vashu Dev are likely to go on central deputation. Therefore, it has been informed that the state government may effect a large resuffle at the secretariat level next week.
