cuttack,30/7/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-Today i.e. on 30.07.2022, on receipt of reliable information regarding running of an illegal saw mill at village Dhitpura (Santoshpur), Ps-Basta, Dist-Balasore, a joint forest raid was conducted by the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance. It was ascertained that the saw mill was running without any valid license. During the raid, saw mill accessories along with timber worth Rs.7,04,200/-(Rupees Seven Lakh Four Thousand Two Hundred) were detected and seized. In this connection, one forest cases vide OR Case No.22^CH of 2022-23 for violation Under Section-4 of The Orissa Sawmill and Sawpit (Control) Act-1991 has been registered in Chandipur Wild Life Range under Balasore Wild Life Division and is under investigation.
