SENIOR REVENUE ASSISTANT, O/O TAHASILDAR, AMBABHONA, DIST-BARGARH ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING RS 5,000/- BRIBE.

Cuttack, 29/7/2022 ( Odisha Samachar 0- Today i.e. on 29.07.2022, Sri Balaram Kalari, Senior Revenue Assistant, office of Tahasildar, Ambabhona, Dist-Bargarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) from a complainant for preparing report on partition of the land of his ancestral property and issuance of separate RoRs.

Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 29.07.2022 wherein the accused Sri Balaram Kalari, Senior Revenue Assistant was caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance inside Tahasil office, Ambabhona while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.5,000/-(Rupees Five Thousand) from the complainant. The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Kalari and seized in presence of witnesses. Right hand wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Kalari gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the residential house of Sri Kalari at village Pipilipali, Dist-Bargarh and his office room. Accused Sri Balaram Kalari, Senior Revenue Assistant has been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court.

In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.27 dated 28.07.2022 U/s 7 PC Act, 1988 as amended by PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
