TAHASILDAR, RARUAN, MAYURBHANJ & AMIN, BHANJAKIA, RARUAN TAHASIL NABBED BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING RS 15,000/- BRIBE;

Cuttack,8/7/2022( Odisha Samachar )-Today i.e. on 08.07.2022, Sri Satya Sundar Rout, OAS, Tahasildar, Raruan, Dist-Mayurbhanj and Sri Kamal Lochan Patra, Amin, Bhanjakia under Raruan Tahasil, Dist-Mayurbhanj hava been nabbed by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) from a complainant for issuance of RoR (Patta) of his plot. The amount was an installment against an overall demand Rs.40,000/-
Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 08.07.2022 wherein the accused Sri Satya Sundar Rout, OAS, Tahasildar and Sri Kamal Lochan Patra, Amin were caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance in the office chamber of Tahasildar, Raruan while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.15,000/-(Rupees Fifteen Thousand) from the complainant. The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Rout and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Rout, Tahasildar and both hands wash as well as shirt pocket wash of Sri Patra, Amin gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by them. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the rented house of Sri Rout, Tahasildar at Karanjia, house of relative at Bhaumanagar, Bhubaneswar, rented house at Shoubhagya Nagar, Delta area, Bhubaneswar and house at native village Kharadi, Ps-Jajpur Road, Dist-Jajpur and the rented house of Sri Patra, Amin at Bhangudiposi, Ps-Raruan and office room of both the accused. Both the accused persons Sri Satya Sundar Rout, OAS, Tahasildar and Sri Kamal Lochan Patra, Amin have been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance P.S. Case No.19 dated 07.07.2022 U/s 7 PC Act, 1988 as amended by PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
In one more Vigilance Operation today, Sri Ranjan Kumar Mallick, ARI, office of RI, Kalapadar located at Chupuringi under Kanas Tahasil, Dist-Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) from a complainant of Puri district for submitting a favourable report regarding eligibility of the complainant’s father for Fani cyclone damage relief.
Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 08.07.2022 wherein the accused Sri Ranjan Kumar Mallick, ARI was caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance on the road side at Jankiagadasahi square, Dist-Puri while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) from the complainant. The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Mallick and seized in presence of witnesses. Right hand wash as well as shirt pocket wash of Sri Mallick gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the residential house of Sri Mallick at Talabania Tota, Beherasahi, Dist-Puri and his office room. Accused Sri Ranjan Kumar Mallick, ARI has been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S. Case No.18 dated 07.07.2022 U/s 7 PC Act, 1988 as amended by PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
