Cuttack,4/7/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-Today i.e. on 04.07.2022, on receipt of reliable information regarding transportation of illegal timber in a TATA-207 Pickup vehicle bearing registration number OR17-F-0915 at village Hutma, Ps-Sadar, Dist-Sambalpur, a joint forest raid was conducted by the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance. During raid, the said vehicle loaded with 22 Quintals of Kurdu logs used for furniture manufacturing and toy making was detected and seized. The worth of timber along with seized vehicle comes to approx Rs.2,50,000/-(Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand). In this connection, one forest case vide UD Case No.4 of 2022-23 was registered in Jujumura Range under Sambalpur Forest Division and is under investigation.
