EX-INSPECTOR OF SUPPLIES, MOHANA BLOCK, PS-MOHANA, DIST-GAJAPATI CONVICTED IN DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS (DA) CASE.

 Cuttack,25/6/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-    Today i.e on 25.06.2022, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur convicted Sri Prakash Chandra Patra, Ex-Inspector of Supplies, Mohana Block, Ps-Mohana, Dist-Gajapati, A/p-Inspector, office of Civil Supply, Aska Block, Dist-Ganjam in connection with Berhampur Vigilance P.S. Case No.67 dated.03.12.1997 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 registered against Sri Prakash Chandra Patra, Ex-Inspector of Supplies for possession of assets  disproportionate to his known sources of income and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and to pay fine of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a further period of 6 months more for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) P.C. Act, 1988.

Sri D.Tareshu Patra, Ex-Inspector, Vigilance, Berhampur Division had investigated the case and Sri Surendra Panda, Spl. P.P. and Sri Pradeep Kumar Dora, Addl. Spl P.P, Vigilance, Berhampur conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution.
