CASH RS 21.75 LAKHS, 602 GMS GOLD AND OTHER INCRIMINATING DOCUMENTS UNEARTHED DURING INTERCEPTION AND SEARCHES OF SUPERINTENDING ENGINEER, RURAL WORKS DIVISION NO.1, MALKANGIRI.

Cuttack,26/3/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Basing on credible information about movement of Sri Ashish Kumar Dash, Superintending Engineer, Rural Works Division No.1, Malkangiri carrying huge ill-gotten money, he was intercepted on 25.03.2022 at 2.15 PM at Malkangiri.

  • During interception, a cash of Rs.10,23,970/- was seized from him which he could not account for satisfactorily.
  • Following interception the residential Govt. quarter of Sri Dash situated at Malkangiri and his office at Malkangiri were searched. During house search further cash, gold, silver and documents related to assets were recovered.
  • In total cash of Rs.21,75,470/- and 602 Grams gold including 17 gold coins of 10 gm each have been recovered.
  • Shri Dash has purchased a Flat No. B-203 at Shantivaan Society, Belagachia, Barang, Cuttack in the name of his wife worth of Rs. 32,30,480/-.
  • He has also purchased land at Baripal, Dist-Keonjhar in the name of his wife.
  • Large number of bank and documents have been recovered indicating huge cash deposits made by Shri Dash in various accounts. The same are being examined further.
  • Large number of investment documents have been recovered indicating huge deposits and investments made in various financial institutions. These are being verified further.
