New Delhi,01/10/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- The Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF), founded by Nobel Peace Laureate Shri Kailash Satyarthi, has been actively engaged in providing relief to children and others in different parts of the country since the first wave of COVID-19. To protect children from the possible third wave of COVID-19, the Foundation in collaboration with the Government of Madhya Pradesh is going to start distribution of “COVID Care Kits” in 30 villages of Ganjbasoda block of Vidisha district of the state..
The foundation is also running flagship programmes like Bal Mitra Gram to provide safety and security for children of the state and Ganj Basoda is going to be one of the important districts. Alok institute,Brazil founded by famous Brazilian musician Alok will support 20 Bal Mitra grams in Madhya Pradesh in the span of 3 years.
Bal Mitra Gram (Child Friendly Village) is a village whose children are free from child labor and exploitation. All the children go to school and a Bal Panchayat (Children Assembly) is formed in that village which works closely with Gram Panchayat ( Village assembly) .
The “Covid Care Kit” distribution program was inaugurated by the local MLA Leena Jain,SDM Ganj Basoda ,Roshan Rai, Block health medical officer,Ravindra Chidar,CDPO Komal Upadhya.
In the first and second wave of Covid, many people had to face problems due to lack of medical resources and medicines. Many people also lost their lives due to lack of oxygen. Fears are being expressed that in the third wave this epidemic will affect children on a large scale. In view of this, the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation has once again become active across the country to protect children from the possible third wave of Covid. In this regard, the foundation is going to start the distribution of “Covid Care Kits” in 30 villages of Ganjbasoda block of Vidisha district of the state in collaboration with the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
On this occasion, the local MLA Leena Jain said “ The work started by Sh Kailash Satyarthi towards elimination of child labour and child exploitation should continue until goal is achieved. We have to ensure collectively that no child should be out of school or in child labour in 20 villages which has been adopted today “
It is worth noting that the Covid Care Kits distributed in Ganjbasoda range from oxygen concentrator to Oximeter, Nebulizer, Thermometer, Glucometer, Facemask, PPE kit, Gloves, Vaporizer, Sanitizer, Vitacin-C tablet and almost all the important things used in Covid treatment including essential medicines.
Shri Kailash Satyarthi, a Nobel Peace Laureate, hails from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh and Bal Mitra Gram (Child Friendly Village) in Ganjbasoda block of Vidisha is going on. 10 villages of the block have been made Bal Mitra Gram (Child Friendly Village). This has helped to provide more than 2000 children with access to good education, health facilities and to keep them safe from exploitation. Bal Mitra Gram ( Child Friendly Villages) are those villages whose children are free from child labor and exploitation. All the children go to school and the Bal Panchayat (Children Assembly) works actively. 2000 persons, families of these villages have also been linked with government schemes. Under the same program, the process of making 20 more villages as Bal Mitra Grams(Child Friendly Village) has started. This project have been started in collaboration withan organization known as Alok Institute of Brazil.
