Cuttack,11/8/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Shri Krushna Chandra Jena, Statistical Assistant, ICDS Project, Puri Municipality under office of CDPO, Puri, simultaneous house searches were conducted by 3 places in Puri district and 1 place in Bhubaneswar on 10.08.2021 by 6 teams of Bhubaneswar Vigilance Division comprising 2 DSsP, 10 Inspectors and other staff on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
2 nos of triple storeyed buildings i.e. one at Puri and another at Bhubaneswar, 6 plots including 1 plot at Nuagaon, Bhubaneswar and 5 plots in Puri district, 2 nos of four wheelers, 10 nos of two wheelers, Bank deposits including Fixed deposits of Rs.49 lakh, Insurance deposits over Rs.7.52 lakh and other movable and immovable properties, all totalling to over Rs 1.66 crore have been unearthed during the house search.
After thorough search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Shri Krushna Chandra Jena, Statistical Assistant were calculated and he was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income to the tune of Rs.1,57,13,514/- (Rupees One crore Fifty-seven Lakh Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred Fourteen) which constitutes 120% of his known sources of income.
