Cuttack,7/4/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On getting reliable information regarding running of illegal saw mill at village Habib Nagar, PS-Dhamnagar, Dist. Bhadrak, joint forest raid was conducted by the Vigilance Forest Wing of Vigilance Directorate, Cuttack today i.e. on 7.4.2021 along with the assistance of forest staff of Balasore Vigilance Division, staff of Dhamnagar Wild Life Range, staff of Bhadrak Wild Life Division and local Police of Dhamnagar PS. During the raid, one illegal saw mill was found to be operating without any valid license. The saw mill accessories (dismantled) along with sawn sizes timber worth Rs.2,06,700/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Six Thousand Seven Hundred) were seized. In this connection, one forest case has been registered in Dhamnagar Forest Range vide OR Case No- 1D of 2021-22 for violation of Section 4 of Orissa Saw Mill and Saw Pit (Control) Act-1991, punishable U/s 14 of the said Act, for further legal action.
