Cuttack,31/03/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On getting reliable information regarding running of illegal saw mills in village Naichhanpur under Khantapada Police Station, Dist. Balasore, today i.e. on 31.03.2021, a joint forest raid was conducted by the Forest Unitof Balasore Vigilance Division with the assistance of local forest staff of Balasore Wild Life Division under Chandipur Wild Life Range, Balasore. During the raid, saw mills machineries and accessories along with 72.29 Cft. timber worth Rs.10,29,200/- (Rupees Ten Lakh Twenty – nine Thousand Two Hundred) were detected and seized in connection with two illegal saw mills. Four forest cases vide OR Case Nos-67CH of 2020-21 & 68 CH of 2020-21 and UD case Nos-19CH of 2020-21 & 20CH of 2020-21 were registered under Chandipur Wild Life Range, Balasore in this connection for further legal action.
