REVENUE INSPECTOR (RI), TULAPADA CIRCLE, NARLA TAHASIL, DIST. KALAHANDI AND ONE PRIVATE PERSON ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING BRIBE.

Cuttack,25/03/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 25.3.2021, Sri Thabira Bhoi, Revenue Inspector (RI), Tulapada Circle under Narla Tahasil, Dist. Kalahandi and Sri Baidyanath Sahoo (private person) have been caught by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) from  complainant Sri Niranjan Nayak of village Terlo, PS-Narla, Dist. Kalahandi in order to prepare sketch map for partition of land stands recorded in the name of complainant’s grandfather.

Accordingly, a trap was laid on 25.3.2021. Accused Sri Thabira Bhoi, RI and Sri Baidyanath Sahoo (private person) were caught by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division inside RI office premises while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) from  complainant Sri Nayak. As per the direction of RI Sri Bhoi, complainant Sri Nayak handed over the bribe money to Sri Sahoo (private person), who received the same, counted it with his both hands and kept it in his pant pocket. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Sahoo and seized in presence of witnesses.  Both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Sahoo gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Residential house of Sri Bhoi at village Litara, PS. Narla, Dist. Kalahandi and his office room at Tulapada are being searched. RI Sri Bhoi and Sri Sahoo (private person) have been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S. case No.10 dated 24.3.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
