Bhubaneswar/Sambalpur, 28/02/2021 ( Odisha Samachar / Jyotismita Panda): Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT ), Burla has been shut down till further order declaired by the District Administration. According to reports, as many as 25 students of the University Hostel tested positive for the COVID 19 virus . Out of them 16 students undere treatment and rest 09 students left for their Home .
The District Administration has also declared the hostels of the university as containment zones. Similarly, the nearby area of ‘Pulah’ hostel has been announced as buffer zone. According to the sources, the positive cases have been detected in three hostels of the university.
Only essential activities will be allowed in the containment zone. No movement of the people in or out of these zones. However, only medical emergencies and maintaining supply of essential goods and services will be allowed in the zones. There will be intensive contact tracing, surveillance and other clinical interventions as required. All the shops and Bazars will be remained closed till further notification .
