Cuttack,18/02/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 18.2.2021, Sri Khitish Bhusan Biswal, Principal, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Madanpur, Dist. Kalahandi has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand) from complainant Sri Gangadhar Bag of village M. Rampur, Dist. Kalahandi in order to issue appointment order in favour of the complainant for the post of Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper in the said school.
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 18.2.2021. Accused Sri Khitish Bhusan Biswal, Principal was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division in front of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.40,000/-(Rupees Forty Thousand) from complainant Sri Bag. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Biswal and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash of Sri Biswal as well as his pant pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Government residential quarter of Sri Biswal at Madanpur, Dist. Kalahandi and his house at native village Kanakatara, Dist. Jharsuguda are being searched. He has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S. case No.7 dated 18.2.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
