Cuttack,13/02/2021( Odisha Samachar )- Annual Award Ceremony to give away prizes to Best Vigilance Division, Best Vigilance Units, Best Investigating Officer of the State, Best Women Investigating Officer of the State, Best Public Prosecutor of the State, Best Investigating Officer of the Divisions and best Technical Officer for the year-2019 was also held today evening after the quarterly crime review meeting at the Directorate Conference Hall, Cuttack, as the same could not be held during the Vigilance Awareness Week, 2020 due to restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Dr. Debasis Panigrahi, Director, Vigilance presided over the programme which was also attended by IGs, Vigilance, Legal Advisor, Vigilance and other senior officers.

On this occasion, Bhubaneswar Vigilance Division and Baripada Vigilance Unit were adjudged as the Best Vigilance Division and Unit respectively for the year-2019. Mrs. Anupama James, IPS, SP, Vigilance Bhubaneswar Division, Sri Pradeep Kumar Aind, Inspector, Vigilance (Best Investigating Officer), Sambalpur Division. A/p. Jharsuguda Unit under Rourkela Division and Smt. Krishna Kumari Pradhan, Inspector Vigilance (Best Women Investigating Officer), Berhampur Division were felicitated by Dr. Panigrahi. Sri Sudhir Kumar Mohapatra received the award for Best Public Prosecutor on behalf of his brother Late Suresh Kumar Mohapatra, Ex-Special Public Prosecutor in the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Phulbani.
