Bhubaneswar, 5/2/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- : Samajwadi Party Odisha State Committe welcomes Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announcement to visit the disputed Andhra-Odisha border village of Kotia and projects worth 150 crores in the area. Party State Unit President Mr. Rabi Behera has demanded the visit of Assembly House Committe on border dispute to the disputed village before the visit of Hon’ble C.M to win the confidence of the common people of those villages. Govt. of Odisha should talk to Andhra Govt. at the highest level to cancel the notification for Panchayatraj Election in the disputed villages which is to be held on 13th & 17th February. Though cases are pending in Supreme Court of India since 1968 on the issue, Andhra has violated the principle of peaceful coexistence and is going to conduct Panchayat Election in those villages. Two month ago Andhra administration forcefully constructed road in Sunabeda village of Sambai G.P. of Patangi Block on November 15th. if Govt. of Odisha would have taken of the matter then with the highest leadership of Andra Pradesh or if the House Committee of Odisha Assembly on border dispute would have visited the disputed site, things would not have rolled into the present day controversy. How ever still there is time to resolve the matter and the steps taken by Hon’ble Chief Minister on the issue will go a long way in winning the confidence of the people of Kotia says Mr. Behera. Govt. of Odisha should immediately convene an all party meeting on the matter.
