Cuttack,01/02/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 1.2.2021, Sri Madhusudan Naik, Assistant Teacher-cum-C.R.C.C. (Cluster Roster Centre Co-ordinator), office of Block Education Officer (BEO), Raruan Block, Dist. Mayurbhanj has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Balasore Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand) from complainant Sri Biswanath Mohanta, Assistant Teacher, Govt. Primary School, Jadipoda, Raruan Block, Dist. Mayurbhanj in order to process applications of the complainant and his spouse (Assistant Teacher) for sanction of RACP (Revised Assured Career Progression) in their favour.
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 1.2.2021. Accused Sri Madhusudan Naik, Assistant Teacher was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Balasore Division in the office of BEO while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand) from complainant Sri Mohanta. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Naik and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash of Sri Naik as well as his pant pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. His house at native village Raruan, Dist. Mayurbhanj and office room at BEO, Raruan Block are being searched. He has been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance P.S. case No.5 dt.31.1.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
