Cuttack,11/1/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 11.1.2021, Sri Asit Kumar Joshi, Senior Clerk-cum-Record Keeper, Muribahal Tahasil Office, Dist. Bolangir has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.2,800/- (Rupees Two Thousand Eight Hundred) from complainant Sri Thabira Sahu of Village Limapada, PS-Muribahal, Dist. Bolangir for issue of Record of Rights (RoR) in favour of the complainant.
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 11.1.2021. Accused Sri Asit Kumar Joshi, Senior Clerk was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.2,800/- (Rupees Two Thousand Eight Hundred) from complainant Sri Sahu. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Joshi, Sr. Clerk and seized in presence of witnesses. His right hand wash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Sri Asit Kumar Joshi, Senior Clerk has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. case No.1 dt.10.1.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
