Cuttack,6/1/2021 ( Odisha Samachar / Dipti Ranjan Kanungo )- Today i.e. on 6.1.2021, Sri Anil Kumar Senapati, Male Health Worker, Duarsuni Sub-Centre under Community Health Centre (CHC), Borda, Dist. Kalahandi has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) from complainant Sri Upendra Behera of Village- Jamunasagar, PS- Bhawanipatna Sadar, Dist- Kalahandi in order to influence the higher authority for appointment of complaint’s spouse as Asha Karmi under Sub-Centre Duarsuni.
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 6.1.2021. Accused Sri Anil Kumar Senapati, Male Health Worker was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division in his residential house at Kumachha Pada, Bhawanipatna while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) from complainant Sri Behera. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Senapati and seized in presence of witnesses. His both hands wash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. His residential house at Kumachha Pada, Bhawanipatna is being searched. Sri Senapati, Male Health Worker has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S. case No.1 dt.5.1.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
