Cuttack, 18/12/2020 ( Odisha Samachar / Dipti Ranjan Kanungo )- On getting reliable information regarding running of three illegal saw mills in Bolangir Range under Bolangir Forest Division, on 17.12.2020, a joint forest raid was conducted at 1) Sita Ram Carpentry Works, Khamarmunda, PS-Puintala, 2) Utkal Carpentry Works, Shantipada, Town PS, and 3) Sri Ram Carpentry, Junapadar, PS-Puintala, Dist. Bolangir by the Vigilance Forest Unit of Sambalpur Division with the assistance of forest staff of Sambalpur Forest Division. During the raid, three illegal saw mills were found to be operating without license. The saw mills machineries and accessories worth Rs.2,40,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Forty Thousand)  have been seized. In this connection, three numbers of forest cases vide UDC No-285, 286 and 287 of 2020-21 have been registered under Bolangir Range, Bolangir Forest Division for further legal action.
