Cuttack,16/12/2020 ( Odisha Samachar / Dipti Ranjan Kanungo )-   On receipt of reliable information regarding collection of cash by Sri Ranjan Kumar Das, Sub-Registrar, Baranga, Dist. Cuttack as illegal gratification from different sources, the officers of Vigilance Cuttack Division kept a close watch over the movement and activity of Sri Das.

 Accordingly, today i.e. on 16.12.2020, Vigilance Officers of Cuttack Division intercepted him at 7.30 PM near Dion Apartment, Trisulia, Dist. Cuttack, while he was proceeding towards Trisulia in a private vehicle. During interception, a sum of Rs.97,370/- (Rupees Ninety-seven Thousand Three Hundred Seventy) was found from the possession of Sri Das, which he could not account for satisfactorily.

Following interception, his house at native place Salipur is being searched.
