Bhubaneswar, 7/12/2020 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhishek Mohanty )- : Self-proclaimed godman Sura Baba alias Surendranath Mishra passed away on Sunday night.
He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Jaydev Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
Sura Baba, the chief of Trahi Achyuta Ashram, was released from Jharpada Special Jail here on December 2, 2017 after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court.
He was arrested along with his two sons by the Balipatna police on August 31, 2015 on charges of committing land fraud, exploiting women and criminal intimidation.
