DA TO THE TUNE OF 232% OF HIS KNOWN SOURCES OF INCOMEINCLUDING1 PALATIAL MULTI STOREYED BUILDING, 5 VALUEABLE PLOTS, CASH RS.3.69 LAKHS, GOLD APPROX 250 GMS, DEPOSITS RS.80.68 LAKHS,ETC UNEARTHED.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack, 21\/12\/2025 ( Odisha Samachar )-Today i.e. on 21.12.2025, Sri Rajendra Kumar Samantray, Forest Range Officer, Rahama Forest Range, Dist-Jagatsinghpur,<strong>was arrested by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack for possession of disproportionate assets (DA) to the tune of 232% of his known sources of income<\/strong>, <strong>which he could not account for satisfactorily.<\/strong> In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.37 dated 21.12.2025 was registered against Sri Rajendra Kumar Samantray, Forest Range Officer, Rahama Forest Range, Dist-Jagatsinghpurand his spouse U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(b)\/12 PC (Amendment) Act,2018.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-55504 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-1-265x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"173\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-1-265x300.jpeg 265w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-1.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 153px) 100vw, 153px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During house searches, the following movable and immovable assets <strong>worth crores<\/strong> were unearthed in the name of <strong>Sri Rajendra Kumar Samantray, Forest Range Officer, Rahama Forest Range, Dist-Jagatsinghpur<\/strong><strong> and his family members<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>One triple storeyed building with area approx 5500 sqft located at Chatara, Jagatsinghpur.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>One double storeyed building with area 2500 sqft. at native village, Samantarayapur, PO-Dondo, Dist-Jagatsinghpur.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>5nos of valuable plots including 2 plots on the outskirts of Cuttack town&amp; 3 plots in Jagatsinghpur town.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Cash of Rs.3,69,660\/-.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bank, Postal &amp; Insurance deposits worth Rs.80,68,662\/-.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gold jewellery 250 gms.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1 four wheeler (Bolero) &amp; 2 two wheelers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Household articles worth around Rs.14 Lakhs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After thorough search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri Rajendra Kumar Samantray, Forest Range Officer, Rahama Forest Range, Dist-Jagatsinghpur were calculated and <strong>he was found in possession of disproportionate assets which were 232% in excess of his known sources of income.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Investigation of the case is in progress.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-55506 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-3-264x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"264\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-3-264x300.jpeg 264w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-3.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-55505 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-2-184x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"184\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-2-184x300.jpeg 184w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vg-2.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 184px) 100vw, 184px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SRI RAJENDRA KUMAR SAMANTRAY, FOREST RANGE OFFICER, RAHAMA FOREST RANGE, DIST-JAGATSINGHPUR ARRESTED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE IN DA CASE.
