The international event will be organised jointly by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Badminton Association of India (BAI), Odisha State Badminton Association and the Sports &amp; Youth Services, Department.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-54795 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/T-1-263x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/T-1-263x300.jpeg 263w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/T-1.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 188px) 100vw, 188px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This will be the fourth edition of the prestigious tournament in Odisha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Addressing a press conference at the Kalinga Stadium today, Sports Minister Shri Suryabanshi Suraj shared detailed information about the upcoming championship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This year, players from 22 countries including India, Finland, Hong Kong China, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Israel, Japan, Spain, Egypt, Indonesia, USA, Australia, England, Thailand, Bulgaria, Chinese Taipei, UAE, Uganda, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Russia, and Bangladesh\u2014will participate. More than 400 athletes are expected to compete across five categories: Men\u2019s Singles, Women\u2019s Singles, Men\u2019s Doubles, Women\u2019s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-54796 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/T-2-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"157\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/T-2-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/T-2-310x205.jpeg 310w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/T-2.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 236px) 100vw, 236px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Top-ranked international shuttlers are also expected to take part.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister further announced that the 37th Sub-Junior National Badminton Championship will be held at the Kalinga Stadium from 1st to 6th December in the Under-15 and Under-17 categories. About 750 players from various states and Union Territories will participate, including 25 athletes from Odisha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Highlighting Odisha\u2019s growing stature in global sports, the Minister noted that the state has successfully hosted major events such as the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze and the Asian Table Tennis Championship in recent years.
