Speaking at the Valedictory Ceremony of the Historical Balijatra in Cuttack, he said the festival stands as a living symbol of goodwill, unity, and shared prosperity.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-54291 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/G-1-300x190.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/G-1-300x190.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/G-1.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhen guided by goodwill, trade and travel can unite civilizations, bringing harmony where politics may fail,\u201d the Governor said, calling Balijatra a celebration of both prosperity and morality. He described the festival as a magnificent testament to Odisha\u2019s eternal spirit, weaving together the courage of Kalinga\u2019s ancient seafarers\u2014the Sadhaba Puas\u2014and the creativity of modern Odisha into one unbroken thread of glory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recalling the maritime heritage of Kalinga, Dr. Kambhampati said the brave seafarers once sailed from the banks of the Mahanadi to distant lands such as Sri Lanka, Java, Sumatra, Bali, and Cambodia, carrying not only goods but also the light of art, language, and faith. Their voyages, he said, proved that the sea is a bridge linking hearts and civilizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-54292 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/G-2-300x169.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/G-2-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/G-2.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Calling Balijatra a \u201cmirror of the Odia soul,\u201d the Governor said true wealth lies in the resilience and artistry of the people. Cuttack District Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde delivered the welcome address, while Cuttack Municipal Corporation Commissioner Kirandeep Kaur Sahota proposed the vote of thanks.
